My husband is a big granola-lover, but constantly buying granola and cereal is very expensive, especially if you want quality ingredients. I toyed around with many different versions of this recipe before finding one that satisfied everyone. I always manage to burn granola, so I came up with a no-bake recipe that is still amazing for quick breakfasts and snacks. My husband says he likes it even more than his favorite store-bought brands!
This recipe is nourishing and simple! Here’s the simple ingredient list and where I source the ingredients from:
- Old-fashioned oats. I like to source these in bulk from Azure Standard. You can get the nice organic version for a fraction of the price!
- Organic peanut butter. Costco has great prices on this one! Of course normal peanut butter works too.
- Honey. Also in bulk from Costco.
- Extra-virgin coconut oil. Costco.
- Organic flax seed (ground). Walmart has good prices on this.
- Organic chia seed. Walmart.
- Sea salt. Walmart
- Vanilla extra. Costco.
- Cinnamon. Walmart.
- Organic chocolate chips. Walmart.
Of course you can use other add-ins or substitute non-organic versions of each ingredient. You’ll still end up with an amazing product.
